This lively reportage aims to showcase and explain “Les Ventistes du Faso”, a musical project by Belgian musician Laurent Blondiau and Toine Thys. The goal is to develop the practice of wind instruments (woodwind and brass) in Burkina Faso, and encourage the creation of ‘horn sections’ quickly adaptable to existing bands. Since the ’70 the wide spread use of the electric piano has negatively impacted the use of brass instruments across the professional musical scene in Burkina.  In November 2016, the great singer burkinabé Bonsa invited the fanfare of Les Ventistes du Faso to play at the closing concert of the Biennial Theatre festival  ‘Festival des Récréatrales’.
